Target Information

CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein containing two immunoglobulin domains and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is a broadly distributed cell surface glycoprotein that interacts with the CD200 receptor (CD200R) on myeloid cells, playing a role in preventing macrophage activation. Homologues of CD200 are found in several herpesviruses and poxviruses. Studies in mice and rats suggest CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and provides inhibitory signals to macrophages in various tissues. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
Diseases associated with CD200 dysfunction include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
