Product Specific Information

The 4S.B3 monoclonal antibody reacts with interferon-gamma (IFNγ), a 17 kDa cytokine produced by activated T and NK cells with antiviral and antiparasitic activity. It synergizes with TNFα to inhibit cell proliferation and modulate immune responses across various cell types expressing IFNγ receptors. Glycosylation does not affect its biological activity.

Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for intracellular staining using the Intracellular Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product #88-8824-00) according to BestProtocols®.
Use at 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Fluorophore Information:
eFluor® 506 is excited by the 405 nm violet laser and emits at 506 nm. Use a 510/20 band pass filter or equivalent.
Excitation: 405 nm; Emission: 506 nm; Laser: Violet.
Post-manufacturing filtration: 0.2 µm.

• Dimeric glycoprotein (~45 kDa) composed of two 146 amino acid subunits.
• Exhibits antiviral, antiproliferative, and immunomodulatory activities.
• Induces class I and II MHC expression and enhances immunoglobulin secretion.
• Highly species-specific; human IFNγ does not cross-react with mouse.
• Functions via IFNγ receptor I/II and JAK-STAT pathway activation.
