Product Specific Information
The LN3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human MHC class II molecule HLA-DR.
HLA-DR is expressed on antigen presenting cells (APCs) such as B cells, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated T cells.
It plays a critical role in peptide presentation to CD4⁺ T lymphocytes.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells.
Use at 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information
HLA-DR is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB).
The DRA gene comprises five exons encoding leader peptide, extracellular domains, transmembrane region, and cytoplasmic tail.
The DRB chain contains polymorphisms determining peptide binding specificity.
Hundreds of DRB1 alleles exist and are used in transplantation typing (bone marrow, kidney).
HLA-DR is expressed mainly on APCs including B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, and activated T lymphocytes.
MHC class II molecules (DR, DQ, DP) bind processed peptides and present them to T-helper cells, initiating immune responses.
HLA and MHC antibodies are essential tools in Immunopeptidomics, facilitating neoantigen identification and characterization via LC-MS/MS.
