Target Information
Acyl-CoA thioesterases are enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of acyl-CoAs to free fatty acids and coenzyme A (CoASH), regulating intracellular levels of these molecules. ACOT8 may mediate Nef-induced down-regulation of CD4 and participate in metabolic regulation of peroxisome proliferation.
