Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the cyclin-dependent protein kinase (CDK) family, which are key regulators of cell cycle progression. This gene was identified as absent in leukemic patients with chromosome 5q deletion, potentially contributing to dysmyelopoiesis. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
