Product Specific Information

• Description: Monoclonal rat IgG1, kappa useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Validated with mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells.
• Fluorophore Details: PE-eFluor® 610 can be excited with laser lines from 488–561 nm and emits at 607 nm. Recommended filter: 610/20 band pass (equivalent to PE-Texas Red®).
• Light Sensitivity: Tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation; protect from light.
• Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.
• Excitation / Emission / Laser: 488–561 nm / 607 nm / Blue, Green, Yellow-Green laser compatible.
• Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies produced by rats in response to antigens. Commonly used as a negative control in immunoassays, as it does not bind to most mammalian antigens. Useful in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting to detect specific antigens. Also applicable in gene targeting studies for disease model development.
