Epsin2는 clathrin-coated 소낭 형성과 엔도사이토시스 과정에 관여합니다. NPF 반복 도메인을 통해 EPS15에 결합하고, DPW 반복 도메인을 통해 AP-2 및 clathrin과 상호작용합니다. 세포질 내 clathrin-coated vesicle과 관련된 점상 구조에 존재하며, 특히 골지 복합체 주변에 집중되어 있습니다. 뇌에서 가장 높은 발현을 보이며, 폐와 간에서 낮은 수준으로 검출됩니다.
