Epsin2는 clathrin-coated 소낭의 형성과 엔도사이토시스 과정에 관여합니다.
NPF 반복 도메인을 통해 EPS15와 결합하고, DPW 반복 도메인을 통해 AP-2 및 clathrin과 상호작용합니다.
세포질 내에서 clathrin-coated 소낭과 관련된 점상 구조에 분포하며, 특히 골지 복합체 주변에 많이 존재합니다.
뇌에서 가장 높은 발현을 보이며, 폐와 간에서도 낮은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
