Target Information
Glucagon은 췌장에서 생성되는 29개의 아미노산으로 구성된 폴리펩타이드 호르몬(MW 3482)입니다. Enteroglucagon(oxyntomodulin)은 췌장 glucagon 서열에 C-말단에 8개의 아미노산이 추가된 형태로, 소장 및 대장 점막에서 생성됩니다. Glucagon은 glycogenolysis, lipolysis, gluconeogenesis, ketogenesis를 유도하여 인슐린과 반대 작용을 하며, 혈당을 증가시킵니다.
면역세포화학 연구에 따르면, glucagon은 췌장의 A(alpha)세포 내에 존재하며, 이 세포들은 전체 islet 세포의 15–20%를 차지하고 주로 주변부에 위치합니다.
Glucagon 관련 병리학적 상태는 주로 종양(glucagonoma)과 관련되어 있으며, glucagon-cell 결핍이나 과형성은 보고되지 않았습니다. Glucagon 특이적 항체는 세포 및 종양 마커로서 면역조직화학적 분석에 유용하며, 호르몬 정량 분석에도 활용됩니다.
