Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed):
- Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For staining of formalin-fixed tissues, heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
ITLN1 (Intelectin-1) enhances insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in adipocytes and increases AKT phosphorylation both in the presence and absence of insulin.
It may play a role in the defense system against microorganisms by recognizing carbohydrate chains of pathogens and bacterial components containing galactofuranosyl residues in a calcium-dependent manner.
ITLN1 may also be involved in iron metabolism.
