Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95 °C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
ITLN1 has no effect on basal glucose uptake but enhances insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in adipocytes.
ITLN1 increases AKT phosphorylation in the absence and presence of insulin.
ITLN1 may play a role in the defense system against microorganisms by recognizing carbohydrate chains of pathogens and bacterial components containing galactofuranosyl residues in a calcium-dependent manner.
It may also be involved in iron metabolism.
