Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

CD4 antigen is involved in recognition of MHC class II molecules and serves as a co-receptor for HIV.
It is primarily expressed in T helper cells but also found in monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and various tissues such as thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain non-lymphoid tissues.
CD4 functions to initiate or augment early T-cell activation via association with the T-cell receptor complex and tyrosine kinase Lck.
It may mediate neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
