Target Information
FMO4 (Flavin-containing monooxygenase 4), also known as FMO2 or FMO (Adult Liver Form), is an enzyme encoded by the FMO4 gene in humans.
- Mapped to chromosome 1 (Dolphin et al., 1992)
- Demonstrated as a single gene product with FMO1 via Southern blot hybridization
- Reclassified by Lawton et al. (1994), where the previously described FMO2 is now designated as FMO4
