- MA1-91124 detects a band of approximately 160 kDa due to heavy glycosylation; predicted molecular weight of precursor protein is 102 kDa.

- Recognizes murine F4/80 antigen, sharing 68% amino acid identity with human EMR1.
Target Information
F4/80 antigen is a 160 kDa cell surface glycoprotein belonging to the EGF TM7 family. It shares 68% amino acid identity with human EMR1. Expression varies during macrophage maturation and activation. F4/80 is expressed on mature tissue macrophages such as Kupffer cells, Langerhans cells, microglia, gut lamina propria macrophages, peritoneal, lung, thymus, bone marrow stroma, and spleen red pulp macrophages. It may also be present on some dendritic cell subpopulations but absent from macrophages in T-cell areas of spleen and lymph node. Recent studies suggest a role in generating efferent CD8⁺ regulatory T cells.
