Rabbits were immunized with Glutathione-S-Transferase (GST) from Schistosoma japonicum. The antibody was isolated by affinity chromatography using GST immobilized on solid support.
Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein present in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing a variety of reactions. It is commonly used to create the GST gene fusion system, enabling purification of GST-fusion proteins through their high affinity for glutathione. These fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying protein–protein interactions, and the GST gene fusion system has been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
