Product Specific Information

Rabbits were immunized with Glutathione-S-Transferase (GST) from Schistosoma japonicum. Antibody was isolated by affinity chromatography using GST immobilized on solid support.

Target Information

GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein present in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing various reactions. It is widely used to create GST gene fusion systems, allowing purification of GST-fusion proteins via their high affinity for glutathione. These fusion proteins provide a valuable assay for direct protein-to-protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system has been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
