Product Specific Information
- Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on the sample size.
- The antibody is supplied as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
- Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
- Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
- For long-term storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.

Target Information
Epithelial sodium channels (ENaC) are amiloride-sensitive members of the Degenerin/epithelial sodium channel (Deg/ENaC) superfamily of ion channels. These channels share structural similarities, including two short intracellular amino and carboxyl termini, two transmembrane segments, and a large extracellular loop with a conserved cysteine-rich region.
ENaC has three homologous isoforms (α, β, γ) and is essential for sodium and fluid balance in the kidney, lung, and colon. It mediates aldosterone-dependent sodium reabsorption in the distal nephron, thereby regulating blood pressure. ENaC function is also influenced by its association with the CFTR chloride ion channel.
Mutations in ENaC subunits can lead to:
- Gain-of-function: Liddle’s syndrome (severe hypertension)
- Loss-of-function: Pseudohypoaldosteronism type I (PHA-1)
