Target Information
LGI1 (Leucine-rich glioma inactivated gene 1)는 처음에는 교모세포종의 후보 종양 억제 유전자로 확인되었으며, 다른 암에서도 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
이 단백질은 leucine-rich repeats (LRRs)를 포함하는 단백질군에 속하며, 세포막 신호 분자 및 수용체와 유사한 구조를 가집니다.
LGI1은 시냅스에 위치한 metalloprotease ADAM22의 리간드로 작용합니다. LGI1의 돌연변이는 자가우성 측두엽 간질(ADTLE)의 약 절반을 차지하며, 이는 주로 청각 증상을 동반한 부분 발작이 특징인 간질 증후군입니다.
LGI1에는 두 가지 isoform이 존재합니다.
