Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain with Thrombospondin type-1 modules) is a family of zinc-dependent proteases involved in normal and pathological processes such as arthritis and cancer. These enzymes participate in extracellular matrix remodeling during embryogenesis, inflammation, tumor invasion, and metastasis. ADAMTS proteins contain an amino-terminal propeptide domain, a metalloproteinase domain, a disintegrin-like domain, and a carboxy-terminus with varying numbers of thrombospondin type-1 motifs. ADAMTS genes are primarily expressed in fetal tissues including lung, kidney, and liver. The human ADAMTS10 gene maps to chromosome 19p13.3, while ADAMTS19 maps to chromosome 5q31.
