Description:
The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), a 205 kDa integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell immunity. CD205 is highly expressed by CD8+ dendritic cells and also found in bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs), and thymic epithelial cells.
CD205 binds to PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; therefore, these formats should not be used on CD205+ dendritic cells.

Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested on in vitro-cultured bone marrow-derived dendritic cells or mouse bone marrow cells. Recommended usage ≤ 0.03 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Titrate for optimal performance.

Target Information
CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is an integral membrane glycoprotein that facilitates antigen uptake and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell responses. It is highly expressed in CD8+ dendritic cells and variably expressed in bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells. CD205 acts as an endocytic receptor directing captured antigens to specialized processing regions and may reduce B lymphocyte proliferation.
Dysfunction of CD205 is associated with pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
