Target Information
Mesothelin은 주로 중피세포에서 분비되는 GPI-결합 세포 표면 당단백질로, 중피종, 난소암, 췌장암 등 다양한 암종에서 과발현되는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 정상 조직에서는 제한적으로 발현되지만, 암 조직에서는 높은 수준으로 발현되어 종양 발생과 진행, 세포 부착 및 전이 과정에 관여한다고 보고됩니다.
Mesothelin의 단백질 절단 산물인 MPF(Megakaryocyte Potentiating Factor)는 혈소판 생성 및 조절에 관련된 것으로 추정되며, Mesothelin과 함께 암세포 증식 및 이동에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
