Target Information
BUBR1는 Ser/Thr protein kinase family에 속하며, 모든 염색체가 방추체에 제대로 부착될 때까지 anaphase를 지연시키는 유사분열 체크포인트의 구성 요소입니다. 방추체 체크포인트 손상은 악성 변형을 유도하는 유전적 불안정성과 관련이 있습니다.
Human 세포에는 BUB1 유전자에서 유래한 두 개의 관련 체크포인트 단백질 kinase(hBUBR1, hBUB1)가 존재하며, 이들은 유사분열 kinetochore-microtubule 상호작용을 감시합니다. hBUBR1은 세포가 너무 일찍 anaphase로 진입하지 않도록 방지하는 데 필수적입니다.
BUBR1은 인간 암에서 검출되었으며, BCSG1(Breast Cancer-Specific Gene 1)의 새로운 결합 파트너로 확인되어 유사분열 체크포인트 조절을 손상시켜 유방암 진행을 가속화할 가능성이 제시되었습니다.
