• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Target Information

GRP94 is a 803 amino acid protein belonging to the heat shock protein 90 family. It functions as a molecular chaperone involved in processing and transport of secreted proteins. GRP94 and its N-terminal fragment stimulate CTL expansion and maturation of human monocyte-derived dendritic cells.
It plays a central role in innate and acquired immunity, dendritic cell maturation and chemotaxis, antibody production, and cross-priming.
GRP94 acts as a peptide acceptor in the endoplasmic reticulum and assists peptide loading of MHC class I molecules. Expression of GRP94 suppresses A23187-induced apoptosis and stabilizes calcium homeostasis.
It is expressed in melanoma or liver metastases of colon carcinoma cells, and in human gastric carcinoma BGC-823 cells.
