Nucleoprotein은 음성가닥 바이러스 RNA를 핵산분해효소로부터 보호하기 위해 캡시드화하며, 캡시드화된 RNA는 ribonucleoprotein (RNP)이라 불리며 전사 및 복제의 주형으로 작용합니다.
