Product Specific Information

Description:
The eBio1D3 (1D3) monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells during all developmental stages except plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. CD19 forms a complex with CD21, CD81, and MHC class II, associating with the BCR to mediate signaling that induces phosphorylation, calcium flux, and proliferation in B cells.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize antibody titration for best performance.

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 436 can be excited with a 405 nm violet laser and emits at 436 nm. Recommended detection with a 450/50 bandpass filter. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Staining Recommendations:
When using multiple Super Bright-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize nonspecific interactions.

Target Information

CD19 is an immunoglobulin superfamily member with two Ig-like domains, expressed on all peripheral B cells. It is also found on certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 functions as a key regulator of B cell receptor signaling, lowering the activation threshold for antigen-dependent stimulation. Mutations can cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
