Product Specific Information

Description:
The SJ25C1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by B cells during all stages of development except plasma cells. CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, which associates with the BCR and plays a key role in B cell signaling and proliferation. SJ25C1 and HIB19 antibodies recognize overlapping epitopes.

Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (final volume 100 µL). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Titration recommended for optimal performance.

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 436 can be excited with the violet laser line (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent. Ensure instrument compatibility with this fluorochrome.

Staining Buffer Recommendation:
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 acts as a key regulator of B cell proliferation and differentiation, serving as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR). Mutations in CD19 can lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression may cause B cell hyperactivity.
