Product Specific Information
Description:
The PC61.5 antibody reacts with mouse CD25, the 55 kDa interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain (IL-2Rα). CD25 is expressed by early progenitors of T and B lineage as well as by activated mature T and B lymphocytes. CD25 alone binds IL-2 with low affinity, but forms a high-affinity receptor complex with CD122 (IL-2Rβ) and CD132 (common γ chain). The PC61.5 antibody inhibits IL-2 binding to both high and low affinity IL-2 receptors. CD25 is involved in lymphocyte differentiation and activation/proliferation.

Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.25 µg per test (in 100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best performance.
Fluorophore Information:
Alexa Fluor™ 532 is excited with the Green laser (532 nm) and emits at 561 nm. Not compatible with Yellow-Green laser (561 nm). Recommended filter: 560/14 band pass. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Target Information
CD25 (IL2RA):
CD25 encodes the interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain, part of a heterotrimeric receptor complex with IL2RB and IL2RG forming the high-affinity IL-2 receptor. IL-2 plays key roles in T and B cell proliferation, differentiation, and regulation of cell death. Mutations in IL2RA are associated with interleukin-2 receptor alpha deficiency and immune dysregulation.
