These polyclonal antibodies are of rabbit origin, developed by immunizing animals with proteins or peptides. The antibody is purified by affinity chromatography from rabbit sera and tested for functionality in various research applications.
Product code 720096 was used in western blot to successfully detect H3K27ac in acid-extracted histones from human cells.

Target Information
Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, H3 binds DNA to form nucleosomes.
Histones play key roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications of histone H3, such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, affect chromatin structure and gene expression.
The N-terminal tail of H3 undergoes these modifications, influencing various cellular processes.
