Target Information
RPS6KA1 (RSK1) is a growth-factor regulated serine/threonine kinase involved in the MAPK cascade. It regulates cellular proliferation and differentiation via phosphorylation of transcription factors. RPS6KA1 contains two distinct kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates substrates in the MAPK signaling pathway. Its activity is implicated in the control of cell growth and differentiation. Multiple splice variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
