RPS6KA2 (RSK3) serine/threonine kinase는 ribosomal S6 kinase (RSK) 계열에 속하며, 여러 성장인자에 대한 세포 반응에서 신호 전달 중간체로 작용한다고 알려져 있습니다. 다양한 조직에서 발현되며, 특히 폐와 골격근에서 높은 수준으로 존재합니다. p90 ribosomal S6 kinases (RSK)1–4는 ERK/MAPK 경로의 하위 구성원으로, RSK2 활성이 결여될 경우 Coffin-Lowry syndrome이 발생하며, 이는 정신 발달 지연 및 성장 장애를 초래할 수 있습니다.
