Target Information
Post Synaptic Density 95 kDa (PSD-95), also known as synapse-associated protein 90 kDa (SAP90), is a membrane-associated protein located in the postsynaptic density of forebrain neurons and certain presynaptic structures in the cerebellum. PSD-95 contains three PDZ domains, an SH3 domain, and a guanylate kinase homology (GuK) domain. It is involved in clustering of NMDA receptors and Shaker-type potassium channels at the synaptic membrane in CNS neurons. PSD-95 interacts with proteins containing a T/SXV motif via its PDZ domains and can also associate with neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) through PDZ-PDZ interactions.
