Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
ECM1 (extracellular matrix protein 1) plays a key role in regulating extracellular matrix organization and cell adhesion. It is expressed in various tissues such as skin, lung, and liver, and is involved in disease progression including cancer and dermatological disorders. ECM1 interacts with extracellular matrix proteins like collagen and fibronectin, influencing cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. It also contributes to endochondral bone formation, angiogenesis, and tumor biology. Mutations in ECM1 are associated with lipoid proteinosis (Urbach-Wiethe disease), characterized by thickening of skin and mucosae. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
