Target Information
ZNF9 유전자는 7개의 zinc-finger 도메인을 가진 핵산 결합 단백질을 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 단일 가닥 DNA 및 RNA에 결합하는 경향이 있으며, ornithine decarboxylase mRNA의 cap-independent translation에 관여합니다. 또한 sterol-매개 전사 조절에도 역할을 할 수 있습니다. 이 유전자의 첫 번째 인트론에서 CCTG 반복 확장은 근긴장성 이영양증 2형(Myotonic Dystrophy Type 2)을 유발합니다. 다양한 isoform을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변형이 보고되었습니다.
