For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD63 (LAMP-3, lysosome-associated membrane protein-3) is a glycoprotein belonging to the tetraspanin family. It is located in late endosomes, lysosomes, and secretory vesicles in various cell types, and also appears on the plasma membrane following cell activation.
CD63 serves as a basophil activation marker and interacts with integrins, influencing phagocytosis and cell migration. It plays roles in H/K-ATPase trafficking and ROMK1 channel regulation, and acts as a T-cell costimulation molecule.
Expression of CD63 can be used to predict prognosis in early-stage carcinomas. It is expressed on activated platelets, monocytes, macrophages, and weakly on granulocytes, B, and T cells. CD63 is identical to melanoma-associated antigen ME491 and platelet antigen PTLGP40.
Diseases associated with CD63 dysfunction include melanoma and Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome.
