Target Information
NEK2 is a serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in cell cycle regulation and essential for proper chromosome segregation. It is primarily localized in the centrosome and shows phase-dependent expression, peaking in late G2 phase. NEK2 has multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding isoforms with distinct C-termini. It is associated with diseases such as Retinitis Pigmentosa 67.
