Target Information
SIK1은 LKB1의 생리학적 효과, 특히 종양 억제 기능에 관여할 수 있습니다. 또한 STRAD, NUAK1, NUAK2, BRSK1, BRSK2, QIK, QSK, SIK, MARK1–4, MELK 등 다양한 단백질 신호전달에 관련되어 있습니다. Thr322 위치의 인산화에 의해 활성화될 경우, 세포막의 Na⁺/K⁺ ATPase α-서브유닛의 촉매 활성을 증가시켜 세포 내 나트륨 농도를 높일 수 있습니다.
이 단백질군은 티로신(PTK) 또는 세린/트레오닌(STK) 키나아제 촉매 도메인의 서열 비교를 기반으로 8개의 주요 그룹으로 분류됩니다. 그중 STE 그룹은 효모의 Sterile 7, 11, 20 키나아제와 상동성을 가지며, MAPK 경로(MAPK, MAPKK, MAP3K, MAP4K)와 관련된 50개의 키나아제를 포함합니다.
MAP kinase cascade는 효모의 페로몬 반응 경로에서 가장 잘 연구되어 있으며, 페로몬이 Ste 수용체에 결합하여 MAPK 경로를 활성화합니다.
