- Description: Monoclonal rat IgG1 kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
- Applications Reported: Suitable for intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
- Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
- Fluorochrome Information: Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 395 (BUV395) emits at 395 nm and is intended for use on cytometers equipped with a 355 nm ultraviolet laser. Ensure your instrument can detect this fluorochrome.
- Staining Buffer Recommendation: When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information
Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies commonly used in research and diagnostics.
These antibodies are produced by rats in response to an antigen and can be purified from serum or hybridoma cell culture supernatants.
Rat IgG1 is often used as a negative control in experiments, as it does not bind to many mammalian antigens.
It is also used in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting to detect specific antigens.
Gene targeting in rats enables manipulation of specific genes to study human disease mechanisms.
