Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes mouse Glut2-transfected NS0 cells but not NS0 control transfectants. It also detects Glut2 on mouse insulinoma beta TC-6 cells.
Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS before use.
Target Information
Glucose transporter 2 (GLUT2) is an integral plasma membrane glycoprotein expressed in the liver, pancreatic beta cells, intestine, and kidney epithelium. It mediates facilitated bidirectional glucose transport and functions as a glucose sensor due to its low affinity for glucose. Mutations in the GLUT2 gene are associated with Fanconi-Bickel syndrome.
