Target Information
ANKMY2 (ankyrin repeat and MYND domain containing 2) is a 441-amino-acid protein containing three ANK repeats and one MYND-type zinc finger. The gene maps to human chromosome 7p21.1 and is conserved across multiple species including chimpanzee, dog, cow, mouse, chicken, zebrafish, fruit fly, mosquito, and C. elegans.
Downregulation of ANKMY2, associated with deletions of chromosome 7p22.1, suggests a potential role in NK-cell malignancies. It is also upregulated by Hox11 expression, which affects hematopoiesis and promotes pre-leukemic states.
