ANKMY2 (ankyrin repeat and MYND domain containing 2)는 441개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질로, 세 개의 ANK 반복과 하나의 MYND-type zinc finger를 포함합니다.
이 유전자는 인간 염색체 7p21.1에 위치하며, 침팬지, 개, 소, 생쥐, 닭, 제브라피시, 초파리, 모기, 예쁜꼬마선충 등 다양한 종에서 보존되어 있습니다.
인간 염색체 7p22.1의 결실과 관련된 ANKMY2의 발현 감소는 자연살해(NK) 세포성 악성종양의 병리학적 역할과 연관될 수 있습니다.
또한 ANKMY2는 Hox11의 강제 발현에 의해 상향 조절되며, 이는 조혈작용을 방해하고 분화를 다른 경로로 유도하며 전백혈병 상태를 촉진하는 기능을 가집니다.
