- A 1:2,000 dilution was sufficient for detection of FKBP51 in approximately 50 µg total protein using WB analysis.
- Detects approximately 51 kDa.
Target Information
FKBP5 is a member of the immunophilin protein family, involved in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes such as protein folding and trafficking.
It acts as a cis-trans prolyl isomerase binding to immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin, mediating calcineurin inhibition.
FKBP5 interacts with mature hetero-oligomeric progesterone receptor complexes, the 90 kDa heat shock protein, and P23 protein.
The FKBP5 gene has multiple polyadenylation sites and alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
