SAGA (Spt-Ada-Gen5 histone acetyltransferase complex)는 Gcn5p를 촉매 소단위로 가지는 히스톤 아세틸전달효소 복합체로, 전사 인자 TFIID와 기능적으로 중첩되지만 서로 다른 역할을 수행합니다. SAGA는 Ada 단백질군(5종), TBP 관련 단백질군(4종), TAF 단백질군(5종), 기타 단백질군(6종 이상)으로 구성된 거대 복합체입니다. Gcn5p는 히스톤 아세틸화 활성을 가지며, 효모의 경우 439개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있습니다.
