Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The MDM2 protein regulates p53 protein stability. MDMX (also known as MDM4) is an MDM2-related protein that inhibits MDM2-mediated degradation of p53 through distinct associations.
The MDMX gene is often amplified in malignant gliomas. ARF interacts with MDMX to sequester it within the nucleolus, leading to increased p53 transactivation.
MDMX expression can reverse MDM2-targeted p53 degradation while maintaining suppression of p53 transactivation.
Additionally, MDMX binds and stabilizes p73, increasing its half-life in contrast to p53.
