Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
- For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the adenylate kinase family of enzymes localized to the mitochondrial matrix. Adenylate kinases regulate adenine and guanine nucleotide compositions by catalyzing the reversible transfer of phosphate groups among these nucleotides.
Five isozymes of adenylate kinase have been identified in vertebrates, with tissue-specific and developmentally regulated expression. A pseudogene is located on chromosome 17. Three transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified, corresponding to NM_013410, NM_203464, and NM_001005353, located on chromosome 1.
