Target Information
SLIT2 acts as a ligand for Robo receptors and plays a crucial role in axonal migration and navigation during neural development. Multiple cleavage products due to alternative splicing have been reported. The C-terminal cleavage products are more diffusible, whereas the larger N-terminal proteins are more tightly cell-associated. SLIT2 protein is expressed in tissues such as fetal lung, kidney, and adult spinal cord.
