  • Based on 100% sequence identity, this antibody is predicted to react with Mouse and Orangutan

Target Information

ZNF198 is a ubiquitously expressed nuclear protein whose physiological role is largely unknown. It contains:

  • 5 N-terminal zinc finger motifs for protein-protein interactions
  • A central proline-rich domain
  • C-terminal nuclear localization signal (NLS) and acidic domain

A reciprocal chromosomal translocation involving ZNF198 and FGFR1 produces the ZNF198/FGFR1 fusion kinase, a ligand-dependent, constitutively active cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase. This fusion protein regulates STAT transcription factors (STAT1, STAT3, STAT5) and is associated with atypical myeloproliferative disease, peripheral blood eosinophilia, and T-cell leukemia/lymphoma.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
