RPL11은 리보솜 단백질 복합체의 구성 요소로, SF3B 스플라이싱 인자 복합체의 하위 단위로서 pre-mRNA의 branchpoint 서열(BPS)에 U2 snRNP이 안정적으로 결합할 수 있도록 A 복합체 형성에 필요합니다. 또한 U12 의존성 스플라이소솜에도 관여하며, 희귀한 intron 스플라이싱 과정에 참여합니다.
