Ebola virus는 외피를 가진 음성가닥 RNA 바이러스로, Filoviridae과에 속하며 Marburg virus와 유사한 형태를 가지고 있습니다.
이 바이러스의 게놈은 비분절 RNA로 구성되어 있으며, SDS-PAGE 분석 결과 7개의 구조 단백질이 존재합니다.
