• Specificity: Reactive with the NP of native SARS, MERS by IFA & COVID-19.
  Non-reactive with the following Coronavirus strains: 229E, NL63 & OC43.
• Purified preparations consist of >90% pure mouse monoclonal antibody purified from ascites fluid by Protein A chromatography.
• Formulated at 100 µg/mL in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2) with 0.1% sodium azide.
• Each vial contains 1.0 mL.
• No stabilizing proteins included; store at 4°C until use.
• Working dilution should be determined by the user. Suggested ranges:
  • ICC/IF: 1:10–1:50
  • ELISA: 1:20–1:200

Target Information

The coronavirus nucleocapsid (N) protein forms complexes with genomic RNA, interacts with the viral membrane protein during virion assembly, and enhances virus transcription and assembly efficiency.
It contains three conserved domains:

1. N-terminal domain (NTD/domain 1)
2. C-terminal domain (CTD/domain 3)
3. Intrinsically disordered central region (RNA-binding domain/domain 2)

All three domains bind viral RNA in different coronaviruses.
