CHEK1 (CHK1)는 DNA 손상 시 복제 진행을 억제하는 세린/트레오닌 단백질 키나아제로, DNA 손상 유도 체크포인트 네트워크의 핵심 매개체입니다. CHK1은 유전적 안정성을 유지하기 위해 진화적으로 보존된 단백질로, CHK1 억제 시 p53 결핍 암세포는 유사분열 파국과 세포사멸을 겪는 반면, 정상 세포는 G1기에서 정지합니다. 따라서 CHK1 억제제는 DNA 손상 유발제의 항암 효과를 강화할 수 있으며, CHK1은 p53 결핍 암에서 유망한 치료 타깃으로 간주됩니다.
